HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR
Only 3 more days to Chinese New Year ! Fellow chinese readers and those who are celebrating Chinese New Year, have you bought your stash of snacks already? Or have you started eating them already? >.<
So I did a poll yesterday on Insta-stories for the first time. Yes, I know I’m a bit slow on doing all things social mediay. I wanted to know how many of you are concerned about calories and whether a calorie counter kit would be helpful.
Only 30% said YES.
Not alot, meaning that they are acutally eating to their heart’s content since Chinese New Year is only once a year? Or maybe they have mastered the art of intuitive eating- truly listening to their body and knowing when to eat and when to stop?
I’m actually quite happy that most people aren’t concerned about calories, sometimes you just gotta enjoy the festive season worrying about the numbers. Personally, I don’t like to counting calories but it gives some sort of a guidline and builds a discipline for those who want to lose weight.
Especially when I’m working in a wellness and weight managment clinic, it does make me think and talk about calories and nutrition almost everyday. I feel like a Calorie accountant, currency in kilo. #kidding
Anyways, when I was searching about Chinese New Year snacks, most lists showed 5 to 10 snacks.
So I decided to make a list of 20! Chinese New Year snacks. Hope I have covered most of your favourite traditional Chinese New Year snacks #yum.
